Jam Dans Le Parc

The SAT is holding Mixsessions Rencontre Numerique/ Digital Gathering at Peace Park tonight, July Friday the 31, 2009. The free event ‘Jam Dans Le Parc’ will have 3 pairs of DJ and VJ, playing music with 3 dimensional videos, each playing a different style of electronique music. The show stars at 7pm and ending at 11pm.

Set 1-45mins- Yankat Live (Break) and HpNoTik & Ryan Stec (Cinematiques urbaines naturelles)

Set 2- 45mins- Banditos (Electro-Tekno) and Ma” & Sindre (Motion Design)

Set 3- 45mins- Kasdal (DubStep) and Athanore & Ouananiche (Archive et 8mm)

French vs English Website

Since MQC went online we mostly have been receiving emails with great comments about our site, we thank you.

Some people however have been emailing us asking why the site is not in French. In short, on an international level more people can read English than French.

However we agree, Peace Park being in Montréal, Quebec, which is a French city, in a French province, the site should have it’s information made available in its official language.

We thank you for suggestions and concerns, and would like to let you know that it was always in our intentions to make the information on the site available in French as we upgrade the site. In the mean time, we apologize to those who cannot read English. On a positive note, this would be a good time practice.

Depuis que MQC  se trouve en ligne, nous avons reçu de nombreux emails accompagnés d’excellents commentaires sur le site, et nous vous remercions pour cela.

Certaines personnes nous ont cependant demandé pour quelle raison le site n’a pas été traduit en français. En fait, au niveau international, il y a plus de personnes capables de lire et de comprendre l’anglais que le français.

Toutefois, nous sommes d’avis qu’étant donné que le Place de la Paix est à Montréal/Québec, dans une ville et une province francophone, le site devrait fournir des informations dans les 2 langues officielles qui règnent ici.

Nous vous remercions pour vos suggestions et préoccupations, et nous désirons aussi vous faire savoir qu’il a toujours été dans nos intentions de vous rendre l’information disponible en français au fur et à mesure que le site se construit.

En attendant, nous nous excusons pour ceux qui ne lisent pas l’anglais. Vu d’un autre œil, ceci présente une bonne occasion de le pratiquer.

Peace Park On Am Getting Paid Poster

Peace Park appeared in 2 out of 4 pictures on the AM Getting Paid Contest Poster for the opening party, with Felix Faucher’s photo exhibit.

Finally after years of preparation and with help of many people MQC has a website to promote Peace Park. There are still many more things that will be added to the site for example, a  “Locals” section with profiles and interview of local skaters and park lifers.

Also, every month there will be 15 new video clips hidden in the picture of the park on the home page, and posts will be made as events related to the park unfold.

We hope you enjoy the site, and if anyone would like to contribute pictures, videos, or information related to Peace Park for the site or the documentary please do not hesitate to contact us, we accept all contributions. Thank You.
